Originally serving as the caretaker’s cottage, Myers Park Cottage has a storied past. It was modernised in the early 20th century when Myers Park was established, and although it lost some of its Victorian-era touches, its historical essence remains untouched. Today, it is one of only two kauri buildings from its era still standing on Queen Street.
