  • Ellen Melville Centre 2 Freyberg Place Auckland, Auckland, 1000 New Zealand (map)

Join us this May as we welcome our guest, Amita Kala.

A dynamic South Asian creative whose work spans art, writing, DJing, hosting, modelling, and food. A third-generation Gujarati born in South Africa, Amita is the founder and creative force behind Aunty’s House. Established in 2023, Aunty’s House is a community movement dedicated to connecting, uplifting, and empowering the South Asian diaspora in Aotearoa. Through vibrant events across Tāmaki Makaurau, it brings people together through music, culture, and food. Creating spaces to share stories, celebrate identity, and honour the richness of our intersections.

This is your invitation to start the day inspired! With ideas, stories, & people shaping Auckland’s creative future.
