The Mai i Kurawaka Reclaiming our Menstrual Mātauranga wānanga invites participants to:
Reconnect with the traditional Māori worldview of ikura (menstruation);
Explore its whakapapa, sacredness, and connection to atua wāhine;
Introduce reusable ikura products and explore their environmental benefits;
Support whānau to reclaim and normalise conversations and practices around ikura.
This event is going to be held in the Helen Clark Lounge.
