The St James Theatre on Queen Street has been closed for many years, awaiting restoration and incorporation into an apartment development.

Auckland Council supports the project, more dwellings are needed in Auckland and the theatre is a ‘Category I’ historic place with Heritage New Zealand Pouhere Taonga.

Participants will get a look inside the St James Theatre and hear about the challenges facing this project.
