Women, Trans and Queer Bike Maintenance

Join Zara (pronouns: they/them) at Bike Hub Queen’s Wharf for our first series of cycle maintenance 101 sessions for WTQ participants.

These practical, hands-on workshops are suitable for beginners, and you’ll be learning how to look after your bike alongside other women, trans, and queer folks, with skilled mechanics also from these communities, in a friendly environment. These workshops will build your confidence to discover more repair skills at Bike Hubs all over Tāmaki. You are welcome to stay at the end to continue chatting and connecting with other attendees.

Bring: Your bike to work on & weather-appropriate clothing.

WTQ Session 1: Punctures: Don’t get stranded with a flat tyre – Sat 4 April.

WTQ Session 2: Brakes: Make sure your bike stops when you need it to – Sat 11 April.

WTQ Session 3: Shifter Issues: Bring ease to your cycle trip – Sat 18 April.
