Join Wei at Auckland Central Library, for this fun, interactive worm farming and bokashi workshop for kids and whānau.
Dive into the fascinating world of tiger worms and discover how these tiny composting heroes turn food scraps into fertiliser for your plants. There’ll be plenty of wiggly worm fun and interactive activities for the whole whānau!
Discover bokashi composting as well. It is an excellent option for families that embrace small-space living.
To help you on your way, all confirmed workshop participants get a 50% discount coupon to order a composting system through our website and we’ll deliver it straight to your door. Plus, you’ll also receive a free rat trap to help keep pests under control!
This workshop is designed for children aged 5 and above and their caregivers. Each child must be accompanied by at least one adult.
You are welcome to bring a few small cut pieces of fruit peels (no citrus) or vegetable peels (no onion, garlic and chilli please) if you’d like to feed the worms.
This workshop is proudly supported by Auckland Council, Auckland Central Library and brought to you by the Compost Collective https://compostcollective.org.nz/.
