About

The City Centre Community Network was founded in 2013 as a way for the many socially focused organisations, community groups, and local people to meet each other, learn, collaborate and share news and resources.

They realised that so much more could be achieved for the community and this unique place, by working together.

The network continues to evolve this website as a tool for those who call the City Centre home. It is here to help you find out about community events, council services, community groups, volunteering opportunities, activities for families, accessibility information, safe spaces, how to get support with your own community initiatives, and so much more.

Expression of Interest – City Centre Community Network 2026

Auckland Council is inviting Expressions of Interest from individuals, groups, or organisations to host and facilitate the City Centre Community Network from January to December 2026.

If you are passionate about Auckland’s city centre community and keen to play a key role in bringing people together, sharing information, and fostering connections — we’d love to hear from you.

Closing date: 5:00pm, Friday 22 August 2025
